Are you travelling more than 60 miles and would like
help with housing? .......and....... will you also bring an
auction item to benefit MKM Prison Ministry?
(see column at left for details)
Questions? Ask Marsha Here....
Silent Auction
Do you have a precious item to
give to the Lord's work in
prisons and detention centers?
We at MKM will be receiving
"gifts" for display and bidding
at a silent auction during our
2-day event. Participants will
browse the items during break
times, and offer to donate a
specific amount to take the
items home. Each participant
will check the individual item
lists regularly to make sure
that another participant has
not "outbid" her. If this is the
case, she can pledge a higher
amount, if she so desires. The
participant with the largest
amount recorded at Auction
closing time (1:00pm Sat.) will
be given the privilege of
donating that amount to MKM
Prison Ministries. She will then
take the item with her.
This is a BLESSING for
everyone. Participants are
given the opportunity to GIVE
precious gifts to the Lord's
work. Participants are also
given the privilege of
"purchasing" gifts given by
others. And incarcerated men
and women, will receive the
Word of God and Hope
because of monies available to
take ministry and materials to
them.
Donated items may have high
monetary value or not. They
must not be "junk", however.
They can also be services or
gift certificates (such as
"Dinner for Two at...." or "$50
GIft Certificate at......" They
can be donated by friends and
business associates as well.
Won't you pray and ask God
what He would have you bring
to the auction? Like the widow
who brought her mite to the
offering, it may seem little to
you, but is very precious to
God and to those who will
receive life because of it.
Will you e-mail us a
description of the item you
will bring and (if possible) a
photo so we can be better
prepared for your donation?
